There are lots of scary questions in an author's life. "How's your writing going?" "How many words did you write today?" "Have you sold many books?" "Are you on social media?" ... *shudder*

But "What's next?" might be the scariest question of all.

It's exciting though, too, right? Right? After all, scary and exciting often come together.

I've been thinking about what comes next for Gibson and Annabelle. If you've read The Ghost of You Lingers, then you know that I spell out (pun intended) some of their future together at the end of the book. But there's plenty of room for exploring the rest of their life together, as well as delving into the lives of the other characters that populate the fictional version of Mackinac Island that appears in the book.

So...What's Next?

What's next is not another novel, but a collection of stories that will explore life after The Ghost of You Lingers. This time, it'll be Annabelle who takes center stage. We'll see from her perspective as she grows into her role as the resident ghost of a popular haunted bread and breakfast. There will be familiar faces and a few new ones -- maybe even a few non-human new faces, too.

I hope to release the collection in time for the winter holidays. In the meantime, please stay tuned, stay safe, and take care of each other out there!
